The rattles around the ankles are made from butterfly cocoons which are dried and a pea placed inside to make the rattle sound.
Tarahumara means "Foot racer" and they are very fast. They play a game where they kick a ball a specified distance and returns.Whoever kicks the farthest over the finish line wins.
The Tarahumara Indian women play a game where they throw a ball from a device on a stick and throw it as far as they can up the path and return. The one who throws the farthest over the finish wins the game.
